Wow! Shocked at how good the food here us!!Very very highly recommended!! Best Japanese food since my time in Okinawa I’ll be back often!

DONT leave tips expecting that its for the wait staff. Unless you put it in their pockets directly they won't receive it because they make wage and are not allowed to have their tips. Delicious food though but workers definitely seem overworked and underpaid.

I live in California and have to stop here every time I'm in Greensboro because I can't find bimbimbap this good any where else! It is amazing and the service is great!

This is a neat little place just off UNCG campus that is a hidden gem. Great food hot bowls, great service. Plus serve a dollup of ice cream with a couple chocolate chips with your receipt always.

Don's has become one of my favorite restaurants to go to in Greensboro. The food is always good and the staff are warm and friendly. If you are into Japanese food I would definitely recommend this place.

Service was super speedy! I had the vegetable/tofu in an ishiyaki (stone bowl) and it was good, but not as flavorful as I would like. The place feels like an authentic izakaya (Japanese bar) and I'm basically comparing it to my favorite little Korean restaurant back in Japan where I would get a steaming bowl of bibimbap sans the meat. Great spot for date night.

Nice atmosphere, service was great food was excellent great spot for date night to try new cuisine. Just out side campus at Greensboro University. Noodles and rice bowls had amazing flavor, spot on for anyone looking for authenticity from a Japanese perspective on food.

Came here regularly when I was a student at UNCG, best Don Bowls I've ever had and super friendly staff!

As a former uncg student Don has always been one of my go to places! I love the ambiance and equally love the food ! I decided that while in Greensboro visiting I would take my boyfriend. The food as always was amazing and didn’t disappoint. I got the shrimp don and my boyfriend got the chicken teriyaki don. My only complaint is that the complimentary dessert was served to us before I was even close to being done eating which was a bummer because by the time I had finished my ice cream had melted, hopefully this is something that can be adjusted to enhance the overall experience !

Good place for japanese food. I wish there were more places like this around town. Feels like a place in Charlotte that I enjoyed visiting.

Came here on a whim while passing through town. It's hard to find places with good udon. This is one of those places. I spent the better part of last year in Japan and this place fits right it. I had the Spicy Vegetarian Gyoza, Beef Udon soup - very, very good.

This place brings your food out in a stone bowl to continue cooking it! Such delicious food with a great presentation!

Delectable Asian food, served fast! Lots of good choices for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Cozy atmosphere, located right next to UNCG. And the icing on the cake: owner wears a cowboy hat! Highly recommended.

My husband begged me for 2 months to give Don a try, hesitantly i decided to go along and give them a shot. And I am so glad I did!! The first photo on google shows so much character about Don. The people who work there absolutely love what they do and treat the customers like family. This being my first time the menu was a little confusing at first but my waitress was so nice and explained it throughly. Half way mid meal I was surprised with a little pack of cookies! And a surprise desert ice cream at the end of the meal. I will definitely say if you have never ate here GIVE IT A SHOT. I think me and the hubby will be coming here on Datenight very often. I highly recommend the Salmon Teriyaki bowl it is AMAZING.

The service was extremely quick and the good was affordable. The menu also has some harder to find foods on it. Trying to find a parking space was the hardest part of the whole ordeal.

My favorite place to go out to eat in Greensboro. Excellent food, excellent service, every time.

My best friend and I ate lunch here for the first time and were so pleasantly surprised with our experience. The service was prompt and the food was not only delicious but it was aesthetically pleasing to the eye. We can't wait to return! This is not your average Japanese restaurant. They have something special here!

Don has great food served in fired cast iron bowls, I love it, but it’s important that you know that Don doesn’t have the hole in the wall Japanese food that you crave sometimes. Like the classic hibachi shrimp, broccoli and rice is not really their style. I love it but it just doesn’t give me the satisfaction I’m used to. Also, make sure you mix your food in bowl constantly, as it is still cooking when it arrives and the rice will harden.

Delicious food. I haven't had great shrimp yakisoba like that since I lived in Japan. The service was great and super fast. Food was delicious. A nice quaint spot. I am definitely coming back again when I am in town

Nice staff. They try really hard to please. This was my 3rd visit & I brought along a friend that lived in Japan for 3 years. I thought she would enjoy the authentic Japanese food & staff, but I was embarrassed when she finally told me that her dish wasn't even close to authentic, it was Top Ramon! 🍲😲 I guess most people around Greensboro wouldn't know the difference in real Ramon and a .25 cent grocery store brand. 😳 Otherwise, all my other experiences were good here.

Decent ramen, small entrees.

Food came out super fast, still very hot on the stone bowl. Was a little lacking in seasoning but may have been to how hot the food still was. I'll try out a different dish next time, but A+ service.

salmon teriyaki was served so hot it was burning the rice on the bottom. gave my fiancé a burnt tongue. by the time it was cooled enough to eat, we were rushed out of the restaurant and it wasn’t even closing time. probably never going back.

I've been frequenting this restaurant since college, and I know that this trend will surely continue. Fantastic staff and great food! I can't recommend this place anymore than I do.

Don is amazing authentic Japanese food with a little bit of Korean twist. The yakisoba noodles are to die for. We have been there two times in the past week. It might cost you a little bit but it's way worth it. How many places do you know that you can take a family of 12 and walk out for less that's $200. We will continue to go and I will try new foods every time till I have just about tried the entire menu.

Most authentic Japanese food in Greensboro. I lived in Japan for two years and any time I want some Japanese food that was like what I ate in Japan I head on in. Good service too. Owner wears a cowboy hat and is always eager to help.

The food is really delicious. I got the bibimbap and miso soup and was really satisfied with it. The server (Sunmi) was really nice and friendly. It has a really nice atmosphere that kind of gives a sense of peacefulness. I would definitely come again. It was a pleasant experience.

This place has always been consistent with food and service. I absolutely love it. It is completely delicious and an experience for anyone I bring. Hands down one of the best places to eat in Greensboro.

This is a hidden gem of Greensboro dining. The very best hot stone bowl entree there is. Also, the ambient music is always fantastic. I’ve frequently used my Shazam app to catch some new song I’ve never heard before every time I go!
